Cloughie fans have been presenting their signed petition forms for the knighthood campaign. Supporters from different clubs have been united in their efforts to secure the ultimate honour for the Great Man.
At Nottingham Forest's City Ground, the supporters club handed over its forms at half-time during the match against Cardiff City (September 11th, 2004). The supporters club chairman Paul Ellis (left) is pictured presenting the forms to campaign organiser Marcus Alton (third from left). Also pictured are Mick Mellors of the supporters club committee and campaign volunteer Mike Simpson who also collected signatures before the match against Coventry on August 28th, 2004.
At Middlesbrough's Riverside Stadium, fans were out in force collecting signatures before the match against Crystal Palace. Pictured below alongside campaign organiser Marcus Alton (front, second left) are fans and representatives from the Middlesbrough Official Supporters Club, with their completed forms (front, left to right: vice-chairman Sue Gardener, Marcus Alton, chairman Stuart Bargewell and publicity officer Sue Bargewell).
