Proposed designs for a statue of Brian Clough in Nottingham city centre have been unveiled. The three sculptors shortlisted for the project were asked to submit a miniature statue and a portrait bust, to show how they would create Cloughie's facial features. Their work went on display at the Council House in Nottingham and on this website, for fans to give their views.

A selection panel will meet later in January 2008 to make a final decision on which sculptor will be commissioned to make the full bronze statue. Fans' comments submitted at the Council House and by e-mail to this website will be passed to the panel. The consultation is now closed. It ran from midday on Monday January 7th, 2008, to midday on Saturday January 12th, 2008.

Thanks for all the e-mails received -unfortunately due to the high number received it is not possible to give individual replies.

The three shortlisted sculptors are (in alphabetical order) Les Johnson from Hampshire, Keith Maddison from Northumberland and John McKenna from Ayrshire in Scotland. Their work is photographed below.
